HITO, Japanese for PEOPLE, inspires this cradling silhouette.
HITO was originally designed for the Crafts III building at Arcosanti, AZ. This building always reminds us of the famous 1950s Sky House in Tokyo by Architect, Kiyonori Kikutake, inspiring this piece’s Japanese influence.
HITO (PEOPLE) for the 8,000+ volunteers in this world who contributed hard work and dedication to Arcosanti, the magical experimental city very few get to call their home.
Feels great to pull out from the table, drape your bag and/or coat over the back rest and dine/work from this functional art piece.
